Some children find three pumpkins in the pumpkin patch and decide to use them to make jack-o-lanterns for the parade on the night of Samaín. They reject the smallest pumpkin because of its irregular shape. The pumpkin feels offended. A nearby ear of corn is moved by the pumpkins feelings of dejection and loneliness and offers to accompany her to the feast. Along the way, they make many new friends: the chestnuts, the wind, the leaves on the trees...
